 Denis Lotoev

Denis Lotoev’s career has been greatly influenced by his early experience conducting large-scale operas, including regular performances of Tchaikovsky’s Onegin and Iolanta, Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Tsar’s Bride and Gounod’s Faust at the Opera & Ballet Theatre of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. His great teachers Iliya Musin and Vladislav Chernushenko were also very influential. 

From 1993 to 1998 Mr. Lotoev was the conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Capella and from 1998 to 2000, he conducted the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra. In 1996, he made his debut conducting the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra and since 2000, Denis Lotoev has been the Assistant Conductor to maestro Vladimir Fedoseyev — Artistic Director of the TSO. Since 2009, Mr. Lotoev has been the Conductor of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra.
